Our in-person, multi-day programme is a deep-dive experience into the world of facilitation and gathering design. In an open and relational setting, a mid-sized, diverse group of participants gather to learn from each other and experience empathetic facilitation in action.

During the course of the programme, we explore deeply:

  • What human beings need in 2025 to connect, gather and learn well;

  • How we can create spaces for learning, innovation and connection for every type of group or gathering;

  • How uncovering the real purpose and outcomes of our gatherings support us to truly meet the needs of our stakeholders;

  • Ways to create a Thinking Environment for ourselves and for others;

  • Working with the hidden Moods and Emotions that impact our relationships and group interactions;

  • Our own below-the-surface Way of Doing and Way of Being and how it impacts the way we show up to facilitate and lead;

  • What it takes to design and execute impactful gatherings – from the very first to the very last step;

  • Common facilitation challenges;

  • Authors, frameworks, guidelines and platforms to include in your own facilitation practice.

What you’ll experience at the School of Facilitation

WHY THOUGHTFUL FACILITATION MATTERS

Facilitation is the leadership skill of our time. In a world of complexity and change, leaders of all kinds find themselves holding space for conversations, guiding groups toward decisions, and navigating diverse perspectives—whether they realize it or not.

At its heart, facilitation is about creating the conditions for clarity, impact, and connection. It is the art of bringing people together—helping them think, collaborate, and act with purpose. Those who facilitate take responsibility for shaping spaces, processes, and discussions that move people forward, often toward complex outcomes with multiple stakeholders in mind.

At Anew, we are deeply committed to supporting those who step into this role—whether they call themselves facilitators or not. We help leaders, conveners, and change-makers develop their unique facilitation style, refine their leadership practice, and expand their ability to hold meaningful, transformative spaces.

The way we meet—whether in strategy sessions, team check-ins, or one-on-ones—shapes our culture and our capacity to create change. Yet, too often, these moments are approached without intention, losing the potential for trust-building, deep thinking, and collaboration. Thoughtful facilitation turns every gathering into an opportunity—one where people feel heard, ideas take shape, and real impact is made.

At its most powerful, facilitation brings to life some of the most essential aspects of being human:

  • Our ability to gather and connect, finding knowledge, joy, and meaning in shared experience.

  • Our ability to make sense of complexity, seeing paths forward in uncertain times.

  • Our ability to design and participate in processes that explore, strengthen, or create meaningful outcomes.

  • Our ability to cultivate relationships, finding belonging in teams, communities, and organizations.

  • Our ability to create, innovate, and bring new realities into being.

  • Our ability to navigate conflict and challenges, working together to improve what is and imagine what could be.

In a time that calls for deeper connection, better conversations, and more courageous leadership, facilitation is not just a skill—it is a way of leading.

The Anew School of Facilitation offered both processes and content that are invaluable for any gathering. I can highly recommend this course to anyone looking to refine their skills and knowledge in facilitation. It allowed me the opportunity to gain insight and frameworks that are foundational to my way of being, and equipped me to identify growth areas for me and my organisation. The facilitators also made this a highly enjoyable course by paying particular attention to how participants connect with one another in the learning process.

An eye opener to the opportunity that lies before me to make facilitation a meaningful and enjoyable experience.

It exposed me to the problems that we as an organisation have been struggling to solve. Now we have tools to diagnose and treat the challenges we are facing.
